Sacraments
The whole liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Eucharistic sacrifice and the sacraments.
There are seven sacraments:
The sacraments are meant to sanctify men and women, build up the Church, and give praise and worship to God.
The sacraments touch all the stages and all the important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing, and mission to the Christian's life of faith. There is thus a certain resemblance between the stages of natural life and the stages of the spiritual life.
Jesus Christ instituted all of the sacraments. They are now the actions of the Holy Spirit at work in the Church. Celebrated worthily in faith, the sacraments confer grace on those who receive them.
